Comfortable and super cute shoes! And at $25 this has to be the best price for these on the web.

My whole life I've been in my bare feet whenever possible, my shoes would be off as soon as I got in the door. I purchased a pair of Vibrams but after a spinal cord injury I wasn't able to wear them for a year due to excessive swelling of my feet. I'm finally able to wear them and will never go back. :) I have paralysis and atrophy of various muscles, and nerve sensations that cause pain, spasms, etc. I will never walk normally again and use a wheelchair for the majority of the day. I am a very active person though and my Vibrams allow me to tell where my feet are when I transfer, use various equipment at the gym, etc. Regular shoes cause me extreme pain due to nerve damage and I am not able to tell where my feet are on the ground. It was interesting that during my stay in the hospital for spinal cord surgery, one of the Neurosurgeons was wearing Vibrams five fingers. All my doctors laugh at what they call my funny shoes, but they can't argue with what works for me. The light weight and skin tight fit of the Vibrams five fingers may be designed for the more active person, but also fit my needs as an active disabled woman perfectly.

I'm not a big runner, but I'm training for a 10K and I just got these last week. The first time I put them on I ran for 38 minutes with no problems. I think the shoes run a bit small, because the neoprene catches on my Achilles tendon and I need to use moleskin, but since I've gotten these I am running faster and farther with no extra effort on my part. I couldn't run in them every day, though. It may be that I have made the transition from a "traditional" running shoe to the VFF easily because I wear MBT boots or shoes every day to work and so I almost never wear a shoe that causes me to have a heel-strike. Something to consider. I love these shoes.

Am I the only one that keeps getting VFFs sprints with glue all over the fabric between the toes?
Don't get me wrong, I love these shoes, however the quality is not worth $80 or even $60. This is my 4th (!!) pair of sprints and this time the glue amount is so exessive it even glued fabric together that was supposed to be separated. Obviously Vibram has a quality control problem and these pairs should never make it to citysports.com

I can't say enough about how great these Vibrams are! I love to run barefoot, but living in the city, I need protection from glass, etc. on the ground! They sometimes chafe in the toe creases or on the heels, I use petroleum jelly & it's almost as good as bare feet!
