These KSO Treks are my first pair of VFFs. I've had them for 6 or 7 months, and they're like a second skin to me. So comfortable! I love being barefoot, but I need some protection from rocks and things, so these are perfect. I live in coastal California, so winters aren't too harsh here, but these Treks keep my toes warm while I'm walking about outside. If I ever get them wet, they still keep my toes pretty warm, and they dry surprisingly quickly.

I have several pairs of VFF's-- the BEST thing to ever happen to footwear. And the KSO trek is my favorites of them all for the sheer comfort-- although the Bikila comes in a close second (I'll review that one separately). I have better balance and overall posture in VFF's-- and I'm having so much fun in them. I have high arches and my 5th toes are both extra-small and missing joints, so I thought I might not be comfortable in these-- but on the contrary, the VFF's are helping to correct my structural imbalances.
Fitting IS an issue with VFF's-- their sizing chart I have found almost completely useless, since every shoe is different. According to their chart, since I wear a 38 in Sprints, Performas, etc., I should wear a 37 in KSO's, flows, Bikilas-- but 38 fits me almost perfectly in every style, and 39 is huge, and 37 is too small. But then I ordered a pair of Treksports, and the 38 was like a 37, way too small. Needless to say, it's been a lot of ordering and returning to get the right size. And some, like the classics, don't fit at all, with the uncomfortable hard plastic back tab. So it takes some dedication-- but I'm finding it SO worth the effort!
