I echoe everything that Chris said and like him I also hurt the back of my legs after my first run in the Bikilas. I never ran in these type of shoes before, but the first time that I ran in them, I felt like a Ferrari an ran full speed for 4.5 miles! That was the best feeling I ever felt in running and will never run in regular running shoes ever again. I bought 3 more pair of Bikilas incase Vibram stop making them. Start off easy despite what your feet tell you. Slowly allow your feet and leg muscles to adapt and follow the instructions.

I am on my 4th pair of Bikilas since June. They feel great to walk/run in. Anyone with back pain, will find the correct spine angle of barefoot walking/running will solve a lot of problems almost immediately. The problem is the material on the sole does not wear well at all. I am getting 7-10 wearing before the big and second toes wear through the sole material. City Sports CS is great and have refunded the shoes on warranty and I immediately purchased another pair. Vibram CS is possibly the worst on the planet.

Great fit and feel on my high arch foot. Follow the sizing directions closely and you'll have no problems purchasing from City Sports. This is my 2nd pair of VFF (KSO Gorilla) and those have been relegated to the back of the closet! I've run a little over 100 miles in these and they are holding up good. Starting to see wear on the soles and the uppers. I also Cross-Fit in the Bikilas so there is probably more wear and tear than the miles might indicate. My only negative is that the tread isn't that great in wet conditions and I need to be very cautious with any turns while running.

After reading Born to Run, I decided to start barefoot running and running in Vibram Five Fingers. I ran in my KSOs for a while, but as soon as these came out, I knew I had to have them. I've been running in them 3-4 days a week for over a month now, and they are great. I don't want to ever have to run in anything else.

I didn't give these a 5 because, although a big fan, I can't come to say these are the best VFF's ever made to date. I've had mine about 2 months now and run a little over 100 miles in them. They are the most comfortable and like everyone else says, blister free. I have a pair of Sprints and ran those into the ground to where I started getting blisters on the sides of my feet like many VFF owners have complained about. The Bikilas are soft and comfy inside to where no seams aggravate or rub the skin. My pair had a bit of stitching poking through from the strap that ended up rubbing a nice .5" fatty on the side of my foot. I fixed that easily and haven't had any problems since.
For me personally, there was a pretty long break in period. I think they might be fully broken in as of this morning's run; my toes weren't numbing or anything. Because of the new sole design the toes aren't as flexible as the classic sole design and that results in some stiffness that prevents your toes from moving as much. During my marathon and pretty much every time I've run in them until this morning I would experience discomfort in the toes to some degree. Like I said, this is just me and many others I know who own a pair haven't had that same problem at all. I think it's because of the large gap between my big toe and the rest of the little piggies.
They are incredibly breathable, but you'll still need to wash them regularly and then eventually purchase a pair of stuffits shoe savers or something to keep the moisture and stink from killing your shoes and warding off all your friends and family from stinky feet. For $100 I am very satisfied with my Bikilas. All I need now is a T-shirt that says "Everything you ever wanted to know about the shoes I'm wearing"
