This is a great addition to the 405w/hrm+gps. Not only does it monitor speed when GPS is not functioning as in Winter indoor treadmill it monitors Cadence steps/min, which is critical to the competitive runner. It is easy to pair with the 405 watch and is more accurate than the Nike+ or Suunto footpod types. I measured it several times against the constant speed of a treadmill over 12 miles and it was atmost only about 2% off some of the time. Buy it! It is an essential tool for the competitive athlete.
