After you fit and cut the jump rope, the rope gets stuck inside the top of the wide mouth at the end of the handles. City Sports used to have an awesome speech rope (green) that had perfect handles for fitting. Sigh.

Well this certainly is a rope for speed! It's incredibly light-weight, so it's entirely up to your own preference as opposed to strength and dexterity how fast you go.
