I love vibrams!! But merino wool tortures animals. Look up "Pink" and "Merino Wool" she has a PSA video out there. Vibrams, please make this shoe in ethically conscious material!

As with other reviewers, I had to order a size up from my usual Fivefingers size. And the hard rubber at the heel is a little hard to get used to. But I am really impressed with how warm the wool keeps my feet. It's 20 out today, and my toes are warm-- which was the biggest drawback of other Fivefingers, which tend to be "3-season" shoes. I had thought the exposed top part of my foot would get cold, but oddly, it doesn't. So these are now my kitchen/ house slippers, and I get to enjoy five-toe stability and foot stretching all the time!

I only didn't give them five stars because they run small and I had to go back and exchange them. I usually wear a 36 (in Flows, KSO's, Sprints and Performas) so I was really surprised when these were shipped to me and were way too small. Even the 37's are a little tight but I'm going to try cutting the elastic and seeing if that helps...
